Promoting Technology Resources To Hispanic Businesses ‘Conexion Latina’.

HP and Nexo Latino, Inc. announced Conexion Latina, a 30-minute weekly Spanish-language TV program that recently began airing shows in Houston promoting business leaders and resources for the Hispanic community.

As a sponsor and participant in the show, HP demonstrates products and solutions for small and medium-size businesses, including PCs, printers, servers, handheld devices and technology resources designed specifically for legal, accounting and real estate professionals. The company taps in-house experts to address the Spanish-speaking audience with useful and practical information.

“We are honored to work with Nexo Latino to help inform and educate Houston’s fast-growing Latin business community,” said Denise Marcilio, director of the U.S. Hispanic Small and Medium Business market, HP Personal Systems Group. “HP is committed to serving the diverse needs of small and medium businesses with our broad portfolio of products, services and solutions to help customers run their businesses more productively.”

Marco Bracamontes, chief executive officer of Nexo Latino, Inc. and host of the Conexion Latina, views HP’s contributions as key to the success of the program. “Conexion Latina is designed to connect successful Latino business people. Working with HP helps us attain our objectives to motivate, entertain and educate our audience while providing up-to-date information on technology trends and products available to the hopeful entrepreneur and for those who are already in business.”

Currently, HP and Nexo Latino are exploring other markets for the show as well as developing Internet streaming. “Hispanic businesses are mushrooming throughout the United States and they need knowledgeable media to feature their successes and their increasing role in today’s economy,” said Bracamontes.

In a recent interview with Bracamontes, Hector Barreto, administrator of the Small Business Administration in Washington, D.C., said, “I am excited to learn that our current partnership with HP has pooled its matchmaking resources together to be a part of a professional business show that will definitely have an impact on the U.S. Hispanic market.”
