Puerto Rico’s National Basketball League premieres on WAPA Deportes and on WAPA América

Basketball fans in the U.S. and Puerto Rico now have access to games from the new season of Puerto Rico’s National Superior Basketball League (BSN, according to its Spanish acronym), the Island’s most popular sports league, exclusively on WAPA Deportes, Puerto Rico’s leading sports channel, and on WAPA América, the U.S. cable network arm of WAPA Televisión.

In Puerto Rico, WAPA Deportes will be airing all games comprising the 2020 season on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. In the mainland U.S., viewers can also follow the league’s ten teams as the Island’s top athletes take to the court and face off for yet another exciting season. Games became available on WAPA América beginning on March 1, 2020, with the channel broadcasting all Sunday matches, which will include select post-season games.

“Sports are part of the Puerto Rican culture, and we’re proud to be the exclusive home of the most important local sports league on the island,” said Javier Maynulet, president of WAPA TV. “It is another avenue for fomenting cultural connection, to supporting sports teams of the Island, and for our viewers to participate in and enjoy the game.”
