R. Paniagua, Inc. launches Urban Fashion Sunday in NYC.

To mark the official opening of “The Shops,” Gateway Center at Bronx Terminal Market and R. Paniagua, Inc., will present Urban Fashion Sunday (UFS), on Sunday, May 16, 2010, from 3 pm – 9 pm.
Urban Fashion Sunday promises a fantastic day of fashion, artwork and entertainment for the entire family. UFS will feature a fashion show with runway models wearing the latest designs from “The Shops” at Gateway including fashions provided by Conway, Rainbow, Youngworld and Jimmy Jazz, with eyewear by Catherine’s Optical.
Four runway fashion shows will feature exciting themes including:
– Ready for Summer – summer friendly daywear for kids and young adults and colorful, sporty summer wear for adults
– Accessorize Me – focusing on accessories such as bags, hats, sunglasses, jewelry, etc.
– Pop Life/City Life – high fashion, urban chic, high energy, pop-star inspired attire
– Out on the Town – sophisticated, sexy evening wear and Sunday best for couples
“The Shops” will be THE place to be for the fashion and budget conscious on May 16th. UFS will also feature various art pieces and a photo exhibit highlighting a black and white installation inspired by Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, created and on-loan by Hostos Community College alumni.
This urban ‘fashionista’ happening is free to the public, and will feature musical performances by artists Troni P., Amanda Abajan, and J. Harris with Sophia.
Univision Radio Station 96.3 FM personalities “Las Gemelas” (The Twins) will be on-site to entertain participating members of the shopping public.
Michaels will be providing arts and crafts activities for children in association with the Bronx Commission of the Arts.
