Radiovisa KMXE-AM & Fox KTTV-TV Raise $200,000 For Hurricane Katrina Aid.

Radiovisa 830 AM KMXE and KTTV FOX 11 together and through the generosity of their listeners and viewers were able to raise $201,535.53 for the victims of Hurricane Katrina during an all day fundraiser on Thursday, September 8th at Plaza Olvera in downtown Los Angeles. Both media outlets ran live broadcasts and reports from Plaza Olvera throughout the day, encouraging listeners and viewers to stop by and donate to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

“The generosity of the Hispanic community was truly overwhelming,” said Ray De La Garza, Radiovisa Chief Operating Officer. “We expected a strong turnout, but the desire…the absolute need for these people to reach out and help the victims of Katrina in any way possible was wonderful to see.”
