Univision Communications Inc. announced that Ray Rodriguez, Univision Network President, has been named President and Chief Operating Officer, Univision Networks. With this appointment, Rodriguez will now be responsible for overseeing all network operations, including the Univision Network, Telefutura Network, Galavision and Univision Sports.
Rodriguez will remain based in Miami and will continue to report to A. Jerrold Perenchio, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Univision Communications. Lucia Ballas-Traynor, General Manager of Galavision and David Downs, President of Univision Sports, will continue to serve in their current roles and will now report to Rodriguez.

As the U.S. Hispanic community continues to grow, Ray is clearly the right individual to take Univision’s Networks to the next level as we continue to evolve to meet the specific needs of this vital community.”
