October 6, 2015
Chicago-based Revolución announced a partnership with Andrea Botero, Dania Echeverri, and Cebele Marquez.
“We are thrilled to be a part of this amazing team,” said Botero, Revolución’s Managing Partner. “Each of us brings a very specific skill set to the table and have already seen significant results from day one.” Hispanics are among the most enthusiastic consumers of music across a variety of genres. The Nielsen Company reports that the average Hispanic spends $135 a year on music, considerably more than the average consumer, who spends only $105 a year. “With music being a key component of Hispanic life, Revolución identified the need for a specialty agency of this caliber. We set out to recruit names that we knew and trusted,” added Botero.
Andrea Botero’s passion for music and her proven ability developing 360º campaigns around music properties has made her Revolución’s top pick to lead the team a Managing Partner. In 1999 she found her calling at Cardenas Fernandez & Associates, where she was introduced to the world of live music touring, booking and sponsorships. Later she led her team at Cardenas Marketing Network as Account Director and quickly realized the power of building lasting business relationships and strategic partnerships. Her experience negotiating with heavy hitters like Universal, AEG and Live Nation have made her the top choice for brands like Miller Coors, Wrigley, Constellation Brands and American Airlines when negotiating brand endorsements and sponsorships.
Dania Echeverri, Revolución’s Director, Marketing Partnerships, comes to the agency with over 10 years of experience as an Entertainment Marketing Executive. At Universal Music Latin Entertainment, she was instrumental to the development of the Brand Partnerships department, overseeing its creation and building it from the ground up. While at Universal, she forged notable alliances and relationships with brands such as Buchanans, Dewar’s, NFL, Maseca, Nuvo Sparkling Liqueur and T-Mobile, to name a few, and led the creation and sponsorship efforts of the label’s renowned after-party events for major award shows, including the Latin Grammys and Billboard Latin Music Awards.
Cebele Marquez oversees New Business Development & Strategic Partnerships. She brings over 20 years of experience to Revolución Marketing. Most recently, she was Executive Director, Business Development and Sponsorship for Billboard magazine, where she combined her passion for music and her marketing expertise to help lead the development and growth of Billboard’s Hispanic consumer business. Under her leadership, Cebele created unique partnerships and programs for companies such as Pepsi, State Farm, Verizon, Dr. Pepper, Diageo, AT&T, Target, Telemundo and Univision Radio, to name a few. Cebele launched her career on the agency side at The Vidal Partnership, working with powerhouse brands such as Heineken USA, McDonald’s and Quaker Oaks Company.
