Richards/Lerma’s Rosales receives First Place at American Advertising Federation Awards

Richards/Lerma announced that Jorge “Rosie” Rosales received a first-place recognition at the 2019 American Advertising Federation Awards.

The national committee of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) recently announced winners of its prestigious awards given to members who have made distinguished contributions to the AAF and to the advertising industry at large. Rosales’, a brand creative and award-winning art director at Richards/Lerma, recognition in this year’s AAF Awards is for his Diversity Programs and Initiatives on behalf of the AAF and of Dallas’ entire advertising community. He was selected from over forty-thousand members belonging to two hundred clubs across the nation.

Over the last few years, Rosales has collaborated with Farhan Remani, Co-Chair of AAF’s Diversity Board, to help transform the advertising industry into a true reflection of an undeniably New America: open, inclusive, forward thinking, and ethnically, socially and gender diverse. The AAF programs developed have well-defined objectives, among them:

  •     Create a space for the discussion of sensitive or controversial topics to be addressed constructively and with the purpose of generating inclusiveness and diversity
  •     Establish an advertising community with strong representation at all AAF sponsored events and programs
  •     Increase communications bandwidth and social reach of AAF Dallas’ events to attract a broader audience
  •     Form substantial local and national alliances within and outside the AAF that share in the vision of Dallas’ Diversity and Inclusion board

“Rosales’ recognition demonstrates the thought leadership and community involvement efforts that are part of the fabric of the Richards/Lerma culture,” said Pete Lerma, Founder, Richards/Lerma.
