Roland Hernandez Elected To MGM MIRAGE Board Of Directors.

MGM MIRAGE announced the election of Roland Hernandez, a television and entertainment industry executive, to its Board of Directors.

Mr. Hernandez currently owns and manages media holdings in Texas and most recently served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Telemundo Group, Inc., a Spanish language television and entertainment company that was recently sold to NBC, an affiliate of General Electric. Prior to that, Mr. Hernandez was Founder and President of Interspan Communications, a company engaged in a variety of services related to Spanish media.

“Our company has embarked on a renewed effort to diversify our board’s membership by seeking candidates who possess broad, strategic strengths,” said MGM MIRAGE Chairman and Chief Executive Officer J. Terrence Lanni. “Roland Hernandez is an excellent addition to our board. He brings to MGM MIRAGE years of national entertainment and media experience, and we are pleased that he is making this commitment to our company.”

He also serves on the Board of Directors of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., where he is Chairman of the Audit Committee, and the Ryland Group, a California- based home builder and mortgage finance company. Mr. Hernandez is also on the
board of privately held Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc., a large, international security firm.
