Rosa Alonso – Hispanic Internet Entrepreneur honored with Columbia University Alumni Medal.

Rosa Alonso who has been involved in several Hispanic focused internet start-ups will be awarded the the Columbia University Alumni Medal for “the many important and helpful contributions over the years that have enriched the University and faculty, student, and alumni life on our campus”.
Ms. Alonso states, “I can’t tell you what this means to me, an immigrant who with her family came to the US, like so many others, with nothing but dreams of a better future. Barnard College gave me the opportunity of a lifetime – a top notch education from the best women’s college in the world – and Columbia Business School the MBA that has been critical in my success as both a corporate executive and an entrepreneur”.
