Ross – VP of Marketing @ Tampico Beverages.

Chicago-based Tampico Beverages announced that it has appointed Richard M. Ross to Vice President of Marketing. The announcement was made by company CEO Scott Miller. In his new position, Ross will continue to build the company’s brand equity through new product innovation, consumer and trade advertising and promotions and public relations, in domestic and international markets.

“Over the past several years, Richard Ross has made a significant impact on our marketing efforts through influencing the direction of our new product development, packaging design, advertising, marketing and promotional outreach to the ethnic and mainstream consumers,” said Scott Miller, Chief Executive Officer, Tampico Beverages. “In his new position as Vice President of Marketing for Tampico Beverages, Ross will further support our goal of building a broader beverage company.”

Ross joined Tampico Beverages in 2001 as Director of Marketing supporting the company’s global marketing efforts. In 2005, Ross was elevated to Senior Director of Marketing. Overseeing a team of seven, Ross leads ethnic consumer research, supports Hispanic-targeted new product development, creates grassroots marketing and event sponsorships, coordinates Hispanic promotions and Spanish-language media and leads public relations and advertising initiatives.

Prior to joining Tampico Beverages, Ross has held positions of increasing responsibility at Kraft Foods, Inc., The Coca Cola Company, Intel and Zipple.
