Rossi & Pagán Launch Grupo PyR Affiliation With JL Media.
January 7, 2005
Carlos Rossi and Sam Pagán have moved their Hispanic marketing services company, Grupo PyR, to a new location on the fashionable West Side of Midtown Manhattan. Rossi, former COO of Lumina Americas USA as well as former President/CEO of Conill Advertising, a subsidiary of Saatchi Advertising, is the Managing Partner and Pagán, with extensive major advertising agency (Y&R, JWT and Saatchi Advertising) and media sales management experience, is the Partner.
Pagán and Rossi had been previously aligned with RodriguezMejer Advertising, a local Hispanic creative boutique, assisting that firm with securing new business as well as helping to service some of their existing clients. “It was time to hang our own shingle”, says Pagán. Another senior member of the firm is Yolanda Jordana, VP of Marketing, and for years one of the magazine industry’s leading sales professionals. She most recently helped launch Megazines Publication’s Sobre Ruedas Magazine. Prior to that, Jordana directed all advertising sales and marketing for Editorial Televisa’s U.S Hispanic magazine division for a number of years.
Grupo PyR has established an affiliation with JL Media, one of the largest independent media buying service companies in the U.S. This relationship has provided Grupo PyR with the opportunity to work with several key regional accounts in the areas of retail, automotive and legal services. “With Jerry Levy’s track record and commitment to providing his clients with the best in class service, we are fortunate to be able to work with him and some of his most important accounts” says Pagán. “Sam and Carlos are the guys to help move our clients’ Hispanic business forward”, says Jerry Levy, CEO of JL Media.
“The firm is focused on helping new clients establish a meaningful presence in this marketplace – a presence that directly translates into increasing sales and market share’. ‘We are being held strictly accountable for generating results”, adds Rossi. “Our marketing plans are designed to move the needle in the short term”. With the JL Media affiliation, Pagan and Rossi also see an opportunity in servicing smaller Hispanic agencies that can capitalize on their media clout and market expertise in order to get better deals for their own clients.
