RUMBO AL MUNDIAL: Telmundo presents World Cup Qualifiers

Telemundo’s Rumbo al Mundial series continues with exclusive coverage of Brazil’s home matches in the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers with an enhanced lineup of commentators.
The action kicks off LIVE on Thursday, Mar. 20, at 8 p.m. ET with a pregame show on Universo, followed by Brazil vs. Colombia at 8:30 p.m. ET on Telemundo. The action continues on Tuesday, Mar. 25 with Argentina vs. Brazil live at 8:30 p.m. ET on Telemundo.
As Telemundo gears up for 2026 FIFA World Cup and its extended format, the network is building up the team with the best talent out there to the call 104 matches. Among the additions to this talented team are Luis Omar Tapia, one of the most recognized soccer commentators in the U.S. Hispanic market and Diego Balado, well-known Argentine sports commentator and prominent voice in Spanish-language sports media.
Tapia and Eduardo Biscayart, one of the voices of the world’s biggest sporting events on Telemundo, will provide in-depth commentary for Brazil vs. Colombia. Balado will join Soccer Hall of Famer and eight-time Emmy award-winner Andres Cantor for Argentina vs. Brazil.
Telemundo’s digital platforms will begin to cover Brazil vs. Colombia at 7:30 p.m. ET with insight from Copan Alvarez and Jorge Calvo. Pregame and halftime coverage for Brazil vs. Colombia starts at 8 p.m. ET on Universo hosted by Carlota Vizmanos, alongside network soccer analyst and professional coach Natalia Astrain, and former Mexican National Team and Chivas player Manuel Sol. After the match, Telemundo’s commentary team will break down the game with post-match analysis.
