‘Rumbo a la Fama al Ritmo de Corona’ Talent Search.
May 30, 2004
Corona Extra is launching a talent search this summer for two guest hosts of a Latin music concert in New York City featuring singer-actress Roselyn Sanchez. Winners of the “Rumbo a la Fama al Ritmo de Corona” (“On the Road to Fame to the Rhythm of Corona”) contest will get an all-expenses-paid trip to New York City to introduce Sanchez and other hot Latin music stars on stage at a Sept. 16 concert at trendy Club Black.
Corona is partnering with Univision Radio to promote the “Rumbo a la Fama al Ritmo de Corona” talent search from July 1-Aug. 31 in New York City; Miami; Washington, D.C.; Atlanta; Houston; Dallas; San Antonio; Austin; El Paso; Boston; Philadelphia; Tampa; Orlando; Charlotte, N.C.; and Raleigh, N.C.
Contestants in the talent search will be videotaped in front of a special “Rumbo a la Fama al Ritmo de Corona” backdrop as they perform from a Spanish-language audition script and answer questions about being a concert host. Univision Radio representatives will select the two winners from all the audition tapes.
Listen for Corona commercials on Univision Radio stations with a personal message from Sanchez about the contest, as well as on-air DJ announcements of times and locations for the videotaped auditions at area clubs. Station representatives at remote broadcasts at the clubs will hand out hot Corona giveaways, including a special Corona remix CD called “Borinqueña” featuring three Sanchez singles.
Area residents also can look for the special Roselyn Sanchez displays where Corona Extra is sold to find out more information about the concert.
