San Jose – Director Of Hispanic Sales @ ABC Radio Networks.

ABC Radio Networks recently named Carlos A. San Jose to the newly created position of Director of Hispanic Sales for the network. Based in Chicago, San Jose will report to Donald Moore, Vice President of Multi-Cultural Sales for ABC Radio Networks.

In this position, San Jose will be responsible for spearheading a sales development strategy for the ABC Radio Networks’ rapidly growing Hispanic radio division as well as developing marketing partnerships with key clients and agencies for the ABC Radio Networks Hispanic sales initiative. In addition, San Jose will oversee sales efforts for ABC Radio’s Hispanic Advantage Network, Hispanic Major League Baseball, and ESPN Deportes.

San Jose will play an integral role in ABC Radio Networks’ recent joint relationship with Spanish Broadcasting System. The five-year agreement will, for the first time, give one radio network exclusive rights to syndicate all three regional shows from diverse corners of the country. Moreover, the initiative will significantly enhance ABC Radio Networks’ multicultural presence in highly concentrated Hispanic communities throughout the United States.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Carlos to the ABC Radio Networks family, where he will bring his 24 years of experience in both Spanish and English language radio and television sales to expand our flourishing Hispanic initiative,” said Moore. “Carlos will leverage his multi-cultural experience in the media for ABC Radio Networks, and significantly enhance our presence amongst our advertising and marketing partners.”

Prior to joining ABC Radio Networks, San Jose served as consultant and General Manager for Azteca America Television Network’s Chicago affiliate WOCK-Ch. 13. Previously, San Jose held the position of Senior Vice President and General Manager for Radio Unica Network’s WNTD 950 AM Chicago and was at the helm of the station’s day to day operations. San Jose also worked as the Sales Manager of Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation’s WOJO 105.1 FM Chicago and held sales positions at both NBC and Univision TV stations in Miami. While at Univision’s WLTV, San Jose was instrumental in the kick-off of Spanish television’s top-rated show, “Sabado Gigante.”

“I am very proud to join the ABC Radio Networks team and to be able to offer marketers an effective option to reach the diverse U.S. Hispanic consumer,” said San Jose.
