Santini Lara named Director of TV Azteca’s Flagship Azteca 13.

TV Azteca, S.A. de C.V. announced the appointment of Alberto Santini Lara as Director of Azteca 13, reporting directly to company CEO Mario San Roman.
“We’re excited to have Alberto with increased programming and production responsibility. His track record with Azteca America and Univision has been strong with primetime programming and production and we look forward to his talent for innovative content at Azteca 13,” said Mr. San Roman.
Alberto Santini’s new responsibilities will be added to his current role of Executive Vice President of Programming and Production at Azteca America, where year-on-year primetime household ratings have risen 35% and 44%, respectively, for 4Q 2008 and 1Q 2009 since his arrival in October 2008.
Rodrigo Fernandez will concentrate on Azteca 7 and will have oversight responsibility for all Azteca 7 productions as part of the strategy to further differentiate the upscale, younger-oriented network from Azteca 13.
