SBS’s Marko Radlovic Appointed NY Market Manager.

Spanish Broadcasting System, Inc. announced the appointment of Marko Radlovic as SBS NY’s Market Manager. Radlovic will continue in his corporate position as SBS’s Chief Revenue Officer.

Current NY Market Manager Clancy Woods will be departing at the expiration of his original employment agreement. “We’ve accomplished our goal of bringing some new concepts that would drive revenue in the near term while building a more strategic foundation for the future. It is now time for SBS to convert the opportunities in the Hispanic market into long term performance,” said Woods.

Mr. Radlovic will immediately take on the added responsibilities of overseeing the SBS NY operations of WSKQ-FM and WPAT-FM. “We appreciate Clancy’s positive contributions and wish him well with his pursuit of other business interests. This presents a unique opportunity to consolidate our management structure and maintain the focus on our most important revenue
market,” said Radlovic.

Raul Alarcon, President and CEO of SBS stated, “We have achieved a superior position in New York radio ratings — our singular focus is now on revenue growth at WSKQ and WPAT.” Mr. Alarcon has previously identified the issue of ratings/revenue parity between Spanish-language and general market media as one of SBS’s primary strategic initiatives.
