Entravision Communications Corporation announced that Aaron Scoby has been appointed General Manager of its Monterey, California broadcast properties, including KSMS-TV UNIVISION Channel 67, KDJT-CA TELEFUTURA Channel 33, KLOK 99.5 FM Radio Tricolor, KSES 107.1 FM Super Estrella and KMBX 700 AM Super Estrella. Effective immediately, Mr. Scoby will oversee all operations at the stations, including sales, programming and administrative duties.
Mr. Scoby brings 13 years of broadcast sales and management experience to Entravision. He began his broadcast career in 1992 as an account executive for KSEE-TV, an NBC affiliate serving the Fresno, California market. In 1997, Mr. Scoby was appointed General Sales Manager for KFTV-TV UNIVISION and KTFF-TV TELEFUTURA, which also serve the Fresno market. In his six years with those stations, Mr. Scoby steadily improved the stations’ billing, increasing their collective advertising share from 8% to 24% of the total market over a five-year period. Mr. Scoby later joined Infinity Broadcasting as General Sales Manager of its Fresno radio stations, where he oversaw a 16-person staff. Prior to joining Entravision, he held a management position at Mondosphere Broadcasting. Mr. Scoby is a graduate of Kansas State University and he successfully completed the television executive program at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.
