Selecciones Named To 2003 Adweek Magazines Hot List.

Reader’s Digest Selecciones magazine, named for the first time to the Adweek Magazines Hot List, is growing in double digits in both advertising and circulation, said Elizabeth Bradley, the magazine’s publisher.

“We continue to fire on all cylinders, delivering relevant content to Hispanic readers while breaking new advertising business in categories ranging from package goods to pharmaceuticals, and from automotive to technology and shelter,” Bradley said.

Selecciones was named last week to the 2003 Adweek “Hot List” for magazines under $50 million in advertising. For calendar year 2002, Selecciones grew advertising revenue by 54 percent, representing its third consecutive year of double-digit growth. Advertising pages were up 28 percent. Based on reader support, Selecciones’ guaranteed rate base was increased from 275,000 to 325,000 copies this past January. “The best news is that we’re just getting started,” Bradley said. “Our growth is the byproduct of an editorial focus on successful living in the United States, along with a community-oriented approach to integrated marketing programs for advertisers.”
