Sí TV Sees Seven Imagen Nominations.

Sí TV was nominated for seven Imagen Awards by The Imagen Foundation. The nominations were received for three shows originally-produced by Sí TV and four acquired programs.

Each year, The Imagen Foundation recognizes excellence and promotes higher representation of Latinos in the entertainment industry by honoring Latino artists as well as studios and networks who have contributed significantly to its mission. The 20th Annual Imagen Awards will take place in Los Angeles, CA on Friday, June 17 at Beverly Hilton Hotel.

“We at Sí TV are grateful to the Imagen Foundation for this honor,” says Co-founder and Chairman Jeff Valdez. “These nominations and Sí TV’s reach into nearly 10 million households, after only one year on the air, reflect the growing demand for TV programs that Speak English and Live Latin.”

Sí TV nominations for original productions in the Television category include “The Drop” for Best Variety or Special, and “The Rub” for Best National Informational Programming. In addition, “Inside Joke,” was nominated for Best Documentary in the Television and Film category.

Sí TV nominations for acquired programs include “LatiNation” and “American Latino TV” for Best National Informational Programming in the Television category. Additionally, two movies featured on Sí TV’s “Not-So-Foreign Filmmakers Showcase” — “Wednesday Afternoon” and “Gomez is Dead” — were nominated for Best Theatrical Short or Student Film in the Television and Film category.
