Simón named SR VP Human Resources at Telemundo.

Telemundo Media announced the promotion of Lisette Simón to Senior Vice President, Human Resources. Simón was previously Vice President of Human Resources for Telemundo Station Group and will report to Emilio Romano, President, Telemundo Media.

In her new role, Simón oversees all human resources responsibilities for Telemundo’s domestic and international operations. She will oversee recruitment and hiring as well as talent management, compensation, staffing, benefits, organizational development and learning.

“Lisette’s extensive legal and human resources background, as well as her deep knowledge of the Telemundo Media and NBCUniversal organizations, make her a great addition to the Telemundo Media senior management team,” said Romano. “Lisette’s strong leadership skills and vision will be instrumental in driving employee engagement and fostering a performance-focused culture among our employees to help us achieve our long-term business goals.”

Simón was named Vice President of Human Resources for Telemundo Station Group in April 2011. In this capacity, she oversaw all Human Resources functions for Telemundo’s Owned & Operated Stations, National Sales Offices, as well as the network’s Business Development Team. In 2009 she was named Vice President of Employment Law where she had principal responsibility for employment law matters for Telemundo Network, Telemundo Studios in Miami and Mexico, and Telemundo’s international operations, as well as many of the Telemundo O&O stations and some of the O&O NBC stations. Previously, she was Senior Employment Counsel from 2002 to 2009. Simón joined Telemundo in 2000 as Director of Employee Relations and Corporate Counsel, where she managed Human Resources for the Telemundo stations, managed outside litigation and handled all Employment Law and Labor Relations issues.
