Sira Galan retires from a remarkable career in The US Hispanic Market.

Where should we begin to detail the milestones in a very illustrious career dedicated to helping build awareness about the importance of the US Hispanic Consumer and the media that serve in delivering hope, information and advertising of products and services to this segment.

Sira’s career began in 1972 when she worked at WNJU-YV – Channel 47 when it was own by Columbia pictures as Sales Traffic Manager. For some of us old times in the Industry her career creates goose-bumps and memories, since these were the companies that helped pave the way for our Industry today, such as Savalli-Gates, Caballero Spanish Media, Conill Advertising (non-Saatchi & Saatchi days with Alicia Conill), J. Walter Thompson – Hispania, Siboney Adverting (non- Foote Cone & Belding days), Harper & CO, WAQI-AM Radio in Miami, Garcia Serra Blanco/Lintas (that’s right Manny Machado’s current partner at MGS in the pioneering days of our Industry), Fenix Broadcasting – WWFE/WRHC Radio, the legendary The Bravo Group and finally the nationally recognized Zubi Advertising that was started by legendary pioneer Tere Zubizarreta.

Her jobs and roles changed throughout her career but one thing was constant, her dedication and appreciation to the professionals in the industry.

Many local, regional and national professionals owe Sira for her willingness to listen to a good pitch, help in getting you on a buy, her always looking for an angle for her client’s and her dedication to building our Industry.

The lunches, the meetings and the long hours might go by the wayside, but your efforts and continuos smile will always be etched in the lore of our Industry.

Se te quiere Sira!
