Skiko – VP/Director of Digital Innovation @ Tapestry.

Tapestry, the multicultural division of Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG), announced that Marla Skiko has been promoted to VP/Director of Digital Innovation, a newly-created role within the agency responsible for monitoring and assessing the impact of emerging technology on the multicultural consumer market.

In this role, Skiko will direct Tapestry’s new IP group and manage research and integration with other forms of emerging contact channels such as VOD, DVR, mobile technologies and gaming in respect to the multicultural consumer.

“Marla has been a key contributor to Tapestry’s success in the last year,” said Monica Gadsby, CEO and managing director, Tapestry. “Her work and knowledge in the space will be extremely valuable as the media environment and new platforms become more and more digitally focused and increase in complexity.”

Prior to her new role, Skiko was director of investment at Tapestry, creating preference in the marketplace for Tapestry’s roster of blue chip clients such as Americatel, Disney, Kraft, Miller and Philip Morris. Skiko will continue to service these existing clients in addition to her new responsibilities with Tapestry’s IP group.
