Snell – Director of Trade Marketing @ MTV Networks LatAM.

MTV Networks Latin America announced the creation of a Trade Marketing department, which will focus on developing and strengthening the network’s strategic, advertising partnerships with over 250 clients. The company also announced the appointment of marketing expert Carol Snell as Director of Trade Marketing, MTV Networks Latin America.

In this newly created position, Snell will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives in order to build the company’s trade marketing business for all the company’s brands in Latin America (including MTV, VH1 and Nickelodeon). Snell will work closely with the Ad Sales team to provide its advertisers with creative and innovative marketing solutions that go beyond traditional advertising to include sales events and promotions specifically designed to cater to each advertiser’s individual needs. Based in the company’s Miami headquarters, Snell will report directly into Melisa Quiñoy, Senior Vice President of Ad Sales & International Marketing Partnerships, MTV Networks Latin America.

“Our new Trade Marketing department will allow us to take to the next level our commitment to offering our clients more innovative forms of non-traditional advertising, further enhancing our 360-degree approach,” explained Quiñoy. “Carol’s in-depth knowledge of the Latin American youth market combined with her more than 10 years of industry experience and her impressive track record in marketing make her a unique addition to our new department.”

Most recently, Snell worked as a consultant for DreamWorks, being responsible for the development of strategies that secured specific promotional partners at the national and retail level for DreamWorks Home Entertainment releases.

Prior to her position at DreamWorks, Snell was Associate Director of Promotions and Special Events Marketing for the Walt Disney Company, in charge of strategic planning, budgets and the implementation of all pan regional and local promotions and special events for Fox Kids and the Disney Channel in Latin America.
