¡Sorpresa! to launch second satellite feed.
April 14, 2007
Juniper Content Corporation, a media and entertainment company which owns and operates the ¡Sorpresa! Network, announced at the National Cable & Telecommunications Association show that it will provide a second satellite feed for Mountain and Pacific Standard time zone audiences beginning on June 29th. Given the growth in the ¡Sorpresa! Network’s subscriber base throughout the country, this second feed will ensure consistent program scheduling across time zones and allow West Coast markets, where there is particularly rapid growth in the Hispanic population, to view ¡Sorpresa!’s programming in day-part appropriate fashion.
“As we invest in programming and marketing along with our growing management team, this initiative ensures ¡Sorpresa! is in a strong competitive position to serve distributors and advertisers nationally,” stated Leonard Firestone ¡Sorpresa!’s COO. “We want to continue to capitalize on the momentum of ¡Sorpresa!’s subscriber growth by being in a position to deliver our programming on a time appropriate basis in all markets across the country.”
