Southern California Edison (SCE) has chosen Acento Advertising as its Hispanic ad agency to help promote energy conservation and efficiency among its Latino customers. Starting in June, media efforts will encourage customers to reduce their energy costs by taking advantage of energy efficiency programs. The effort will target SCE’s service area in central, coastal and inland areas of Southern California. Acento Advertising will develop all creative materials as well as place media purchases on behalf of SCE.
With summer approaching, SCE customers’ electric bills may be increasing. As a result, Southern California Edison is making a dedicated effort to reaching Spanish-speaking customers. “It is important that consumers be aware of the energy-saving programs and services that are available for them to continue using electricity prudently”, said Pam Bass, Southern California Edison’s Senior Vice President of Customer Service. “With Acento Advertising’s assistance, this new targeted campaign will increase the Southern California Latinos’ awareness of our energy saving programs”, concluded John Nall, Southern California Edison’s Manager of Residential Energy Efficiency Programs.
