Spanish Broadcasting re-launches Lamusica.com.

Spanish Broadcasting System (“SBS”) announced important upgrades to its portfolio of Internet properties, including the re-launch of its leading entertainment portal lamusica.com, as well as the re-branding of all of the Company’s radio station Web sites. These strategic initiatives are part of SBS’s ongoing Internet strategy, and include sleek upgrades to the look and feel of the Company’s Web sites that will serve to enhance the overall entertainment experience for SBS online users.

In addition, with content development lying at the core of the Company’s Internet strategy, LaMusica.com has unveiled a new slate of online print, video and music content that more effectively leverages SBS’s radio and TV programming and its deep pool of entertainment and news talent. In-line with this initiative, SBS has appointed esteemed journalist Rene Solorio to lead lamusica.com’s entertainment news division. Rene is a former editor of the American Publishing Group, and an experienced entertainment journalist in Mexico. In his new role, he will oversee the development of the site’s news and entertainment content, while also serving as an editorial contributor to SBS’s Miami television station, Mega TV Channel 22.

Another important upgrade to the Company’s Internet platform is the re-branding of SBS’s radio station Web sites. SBS maintains the industry’s leading portfolio of Spanish-language radio stations clustered in the nation’s largest Hispanic markets, including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, San Francisco and Puerto Rico. The Company’s radio stations represent some of the most listened-to Hispanic radio stations in the country, and the stations’ affiliated Web sites have evolved into premier online music and entertainment destinations. Much like the renovations to Lamusica.com, SBS has upgraded the look and feel of its station sites, adding dynamic new visual effects and compelling print, video and music content that will greatly enhance the overall user experience for the respective station sites. A list of the stations and their accompanying Web site URL’s can be found below.

Cynthia Hudson -Fernandez, SBS Vice President and Chief Creative Officer, commented, “The re-launch of our Internet platform is the next step in our developing online strategy. We have made significant upgrades to both the content and functionality of our Web sites, unveiling new and improved online entertainment and news destinations that are more interactive, communal and user-friendly. Our Web sites are some of the most widely visited Hispanic Web properties in the world, and today’s announcement demonstrates our ongoing commitment to enhancing the value and attractiveness of our Internet sites to both audiences and advertisers alike.”

Ms. Hudson -Fernandez continued, “I’d also like to take this opportunity to welcome Rene Solorio and Gabriela Ordonez to the SBS Interactive team. Their distinguished track records in Hispanic media will be most instrumental as we execute our emerging online strategy.”
