Springfield MA Hispanic Stations raise money for Tornado Victims.

In response to the terrible destruction left behind by the sudden June 1, 2011 tornados, Davidson Media Groups WSPR/WACM radio hosted a day-long ‘radioathon’. In support of the Red Cross, the Friday June 10th radioathon benefited the greater Springfield community which was so devastated by the tornado leaving people homeless and in need of basic necessities.

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick spent well over an hour – live on the air – directing the listeners to agencies, attorneys and organizations that have the ability to help them with their immediate needs. The radioathon was on the air live from 7am to 6pm and on both WACM and WSPR and rose over $5,000.00.
