St. Thomas University in Miami debates on the future of Hispanic Communications.

St. Thomas University Masters in Communication Arts with Hispanic Media Specialization will be hosting next April 8, the “Hispanic Communications: Nuevos Horizontes” conference, where the following topics will be analyzed:

1) Alternative Venues for Hispanic Journalism and Public Debate
2) New Perspectives on Hispanic Marketing
3) Professional Opportunities in Hispanic Media

“Each panel will consist of one academic, one graduate student of our Masters in Communications and 2 professionals working in the field, including Dr. Aida Levitan who will be participating as Keynote Speaker”, commented Gloria Ruiz, President of the Communication Arts Department.

The event will open with a welcome from the university president, Msgr. Casale. Each panelist will have 10 minutes or so to speak and then questions and answers session will take place.

“Our last year conference was a great success with about 100 people in attendance with professional and student backgrounds; we look forward to repeat the same success for this one,” Ruiz added.

The event is free and open to the public. It will take place from 9 am to 1.30 pm at St. Thomas University Bobcat Hall of Fame (16401 NW 37th Ave, Miami Gardens, FL 33054). A continental breakfast will be served.
