Stacie de Armas stands as a steadfast advocate for diversity and inclusion in the media and entertainment landscape, as well as an advocate for investing in diverse audience groups. As a force behind Nielsen’s inclusive intelligence and initiatives, she expertly navigates the intersections of inclusion, identity research, and diverse audience representation in mainstream media. With a strong background in media measurement and consumer behavior, Stacie leverages her expertise to drive positive change at the crossroads of community, advocacy, and entertainment.

Stacie started her advertising career in the late 90s as a media planner/buyer at McCann Erickson, managing key agency accounts such as Safeway, Nestlé, and General Motors. She later transitioned to the media metrics sector as a Hispanic specialist at Arbitron, where she worked with Hispanic agencies and diverse-owned broadcasters. Nielsen’s acquisition of Arbitron catapulted Stacie to her current role as SVP, Diverse Insights & Initiatives.

Under Stacie’s leadership, Nielsen has witnessed the growth of innovative thought leadership and initiatives that have significantly influenced diverse media measurement and consumer intelligence reporting. Her unwavering commitment to finding solutions, fostering collaboration, and implementing groundbreaking ideas has enhanced diverse storytelling and representation within the media and entertainment industry. As a testament to her insight and expertise, Stacie has twice represented Nielsen at the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland; she has also been an invited speaker at SXSW, CES, Advertising Week as well as various other high-profile industry conferences.

In addition to her many accomplishments, Stacie has dedicated herself to diverse marketing efforts, serving on the boards of multiple organizations such as the Hispanic Marketing Council Board and RespectAbility. As a proud Latina of Cuban descent, Stacie has always been committed to using her knowledge, skills, and professional influence to uplift diverse communities. Her invaluable insights and tireless work continue to forge a more diverse and inclusive media landscape, leaving an indelible impact on the industry and the lives touched by media.
