STATE FARM® PROVIDES SPONSORSHIP SUPPORTING AHAA HALL OF FAME, RISING STAR AWARD, AND ANNUAL CONFERENCE

AHAA: The Voice of Hispanic Marketing announced State Farm will provide a three-year sponsorship to help fund AHAA’s newly created AHAA Hall of Fame and Rising Star Recognition, as part of its support of the 2017, 2018 and 2019 AHAA Annual Conference. A gala, honoring 2017 inductees and acknowledging State Farm’s support, will take place on June 13 at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago during the AHAA Annual Conference.

“State Farm has been a strong supporter and a constant presence at our annual conference for many years – just last year, they were honored with the AHAA Marketer of the Year award for their top-down commitment to the Hispanic market,” said AHAA Chair Linda Gonzalez. “We are grateful for this sponsorship as it allows us to tell our rich history, invest in our future and strengthen the Hispanic marketing industry of today.”

Established this year, the AHAA Hall of Fame recognizes a select group of visionaries, leaders and luminaries who have made significant contributions to the development and advancement of the Hispanic advertising and marketing field. The Rising Stars Recognition is a new award and the only one of its kind recognizing outstanding Hispanic marketing professionals ages 35 and under.

The support from State Farm will help create a digital archive, featuring videos and images that chronicle the history of Hispanic marketing in the United States. The funds will also be used to help young up-and-coming marketing executives travel to the AHAA Annual Conference and be recognized for their achievements.

“We know that role models and mentors play an important role within the Hispanic community and their successes,” said Leif Roll, marketing vice president for State Farm. “That’s why at State Farm, we’re dedicated to recognizing and supporting young Hispanic leaders through various community initiatives and programs from civic engagement to leadership training. We’re honored to share this platform with AHAA. We hope to celebrate each milestone – from young marketing professionals who are on a path to greatness, to industry giants who paved the way for future generations – and help keep these stories alive.”
