Tardio named Director of Advertising Sales at Discovery Networks U.S. Hispanic Group.

Discovery Networks U.S. Hispanic Group today announced the promotion of David Tardio to Director of Advertising Sales for the company’s portfolio of Spanish-language networks, which include Discovery en Español and Discovery Familia. Based in New York City, Tardio joined the U.S. Hispanic team in 2006 as a sales manager tasked with the goal of increasing the share of revenue in this critical market. A year later, the Chicago market was also added to his roster of responsibilities.
“In a little over three years, David has done a remarkable job and has played a critical role in the team’s high rate of revenue growth. He has managed some of the market’s largest agencies and has developed fruitful relationships with clients. His talent and dedication have not only produced stellar revenue performance, but he has also contributed great ideas for the development and evolution of our business,” said Victor Parada, Vice President of Ad Sales for Discovery Networks U.S. Hispanic Group.
As the Director of Advertising Sales, Tardio will be charged with added responsibilities, including spearheading special projects designed to advance the networks’ growth objectives and strategic positioning in the marketplace.
Prior to joining Discovery, Tardio held key sales positions with Univision Communications, Inc., Azteca America, Engage Latin America and Lumina Americas in New York City.
