December 31, 2006
Coors Brewing Company will donate $1,000 to the Cuban American National Council, the Miami-based non-profit organization, for each touchdown scored during the first Tazon Latino I (Latino Bowl I) presented by Coors Light(R). Coors will present a check to the charity after the game. The funds will support the Cuban American National Council’s leadership development program.
“Strong leadership is the key to furthering the goals of the Hispanic community,” said Rafael Fantauzzi, director of Hispanic corporate relations at Coors. “Coors’ donation will support the Hispanic community by promoting the development of leaders in Miami and nationwide.”
“For over two decades we have engaged students and upcoming community leaders in developing comprehensive leadership skills,” said Guarione M. Diaz, president and chief executive officer of the Cuban American National Council (CNC). “CNC believes that leaders who care for others, share strong ethical values and understand diverse communities will rise to the challenges of today’s America. As we face this global and complex 21st century, we thank Coors for its vision in supporting leadership programs in our community.”
