Tecate & Heineken sponsors of 2009 Hispanic Heritage Awards.

Tecate and Heineken were the sponsors the 22nd edition of the Hispanic Heritage Awards.
“For nearly a quarter century, the Hispanic Heritage Awards have honored the Latino men and women who have had the greatest impact within their respective fields,” said Christian McMahan, chief marketing officer for Heineken USA. “This year is no exception; we have an amazing group of talented individuals, each of whom deserves to be recognized not only for their personal achievements but also for serving as admirable role models to the Hispanic community.”
Award honorees include Mexican rock band Maná, who will receive the 2009 “Green Award”; artist Romero Britto will be presented with the Humanitarian Award; Nickelodeon Cable Television will be recognized for the strides made in education; Oscar de la Hoya will receive the Sports Award for his boxing career; singer Olga Tañon will receive the Arts Award; mathematician and professor Richard A. Tapia will be honored with the Math and Science Award; and Senator Robert Menendez will be recognized with the Leadership Award.
