TeleFutura In LA Post Big Gains.

According to Nielsen’s NHSI Hispanic ratings for the recently concluded November 2004 Sweeps, TeleFutura flagship station KFTR-TV/Channel 46 ranked as L.A.’s second highest rated Spanish-language station, behind only “sister station” Univision flagship outlet KMEX-TV. KFTR-TV posted sizeable ratings increases in virtually all areas from November 2003.
On an average audience basis (Monday to Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.), KFTR-TV is again the second highest rated Spanish-language stations in Los Angeles among all key demographics, including Adults 18-34, Adults 18-49, and Adults 25-54. In a market of six Spanish-language broadcasters, KFTR-TV has now ranked second (behind perennial leader KMEX-TV) for nine consecutive months.
KFTR-TV ranked second and posted ratings growth for virtually all key demographics and dayparts. Among the primary demographic of Adults 18-49, the average ratings for KFTR-TV’s Early Morning line-up (Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.) increased 17% from November 2003, followed by a 70% increase for its Daytime line-up (Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.), a 92% increase in Early Fringe (Monday to Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.), and a 31% increase in Primetime (Monday to Sunday, 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.).
KFTR-TV’s Early Fringe novela, “Mi Gorda Bella” at 5:00 p.m., posted ratings growth of 278% from November 2003 among Adults 18-49, while the ratings for “Amy” at 6:00 p.m. increased 46%.
