TeleFutura’s “Escándalo TV” Expands Hours.

Beginning on Monday, July 4th, fans of TeleFutura’s “Escándalo TV” will enjoy an extra hour of “scandalous” fun every weekday as the top rated entertainment/variety show extends to 3 hours. Broadcast live from Miami Beach, a special Independence Day celebration will kick off the program’s new schedule: Monday-Friday, 11am-2pm ET/PT (10am-1pm Central/Mountain).

Charytín Goyco, Felipe Viel and Marisa Del Portillo will host the three-hour “fiesta” featuring celebrity guests, exclusive interviews, contests, comedy sketches and rhythm-packed performances by the likes of Norteño band La Onda and hot Dominican merengue group Fulanito. In addition, well-known Mexican novela star Maribel Guardia will be the day’s special guest.

“The decision to extend Escándalo TV was a direct result of the show’s phenomenal success,” said Bert Medina, Senior Vice-President and Operating Manager for TeleFutura. “Viewers can’t get enough of the program’s unique mix of entertainment news, comedy, music, and guest stars, so we’re giving them more. We look forward to seeing Escándalo TV attract an even bigger audience in its new phase.”

“Escándalo TV,” which airs live every weekday, debuted on the TeleFutura Network in 2002, becoming a runaway hit among Hispanic audiences nationwide. Head-to-head, “Escándalo TV” delivers close to 2 times Telemundo’s “Cotorreando” audience among Hispanic Households, Total Viewers 2+, Adults, Men and Women 18-49, and more than 2 times its Adult 18-34 audience*.
