TeleFutura’s ‘Objetivo Fama 2’ In NYC.

New York City’s lights are shining this past weekend in search of young Hispanic adults, 18-28 years old, to perform their best act at “Objetivo Fama 2” (Objective Fame 2), TeleFutura’s talent search seeking Latin’s next big music star.

“Objetivo Fama 2” gives aspiring young singers a chance to make their dreams come true. The largest search for Hispanics musical talent will take place from October 16 thru November 20, 2004. Auditions will be held in six additional cities including Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Phoenix, Miami, and Houston. The winner will sign a recording contract with Univision Music Group, $25,000 in cash, and the opportunity to be on the road of the rich and famous.

“Objetivo Fama 1” was a grand success in Puerto Rico: more than three million calls were received; 35,000 records were sold; two coliseums were filled to capacity with thousands of fans. Janina Irazterri, 20-years-old, was the grand winner.

The top finalists will receive training in Puerto Rico at the Guaynabo School of Performing Arts. Experts will train the finalists in singing techniques, dance, theatre, image and fashion. The 18-week session will be recorded and broadcasted through Objetivo Fama 2 WFUT-TV Channel 68 and WFTY-TV Channel 67.

In addition to extensively promoting this effort, Latino Mix joins TeleFutura by providing their staff and on-air personalities to support the New York auditions.
