Telemundo 51 in Miami primed for Prime.

The results of the just completed September LPM sweeps rating period confirm that WSCV / Telemundo 51 is the ratings leader in news and primetime among all television stations in the market.

At 11pm, the station’s Monday through Friday newscasts are in first place in the key A18-34, A18-49 and A25-54 demographic groups among all local newscasts, English or Spanish.

“Audience appreciation of broadcast local news is key to the success of a television station and when your product is in first place, particularly with the younger demographic groups, it proves that credible and compelling news coverage is important and relevant to all of South Florida’s Hispanics,” stated Migdalia Figueroa, Telemundo 51’s Vice President of Content.  “The fact that our 6pm local newscast also ranks in first place in the A18-34 demo, further validates the importance of news in our market,” added Figueroa.

In primetime, from 8pm to 11pm Monday through Friday, Telemundo 51 also occupies the top rated position among all television stations in South Florida in the A18-34 demographic group.  And the station continues to be in first place with its 4pm-6pm early fringe Monday through Friday programs, in the three major demographic groups: A18-34, A18-49 and A25-54, also among all television stations in the market.

“These results of the September LPM sweeps period are very important to Telemundo 51 because they position the station as the market leader in information and entertainment which means we are not only delivering what the audience wants to see, but we are also delivering the audience that our advertisers want to reach,” said Manuel Martínez, Telemundo 51’s President and General Manager
