Telemundo 52 presents ‘Back to School’ event.

KVEA, Channel 52, the flagship station of Telemundo in Los Angeles, hosted their 2nd Annual “Back-to-School” event on Saturday, August 29, 2009.
“In today’s tough economy, it is ever more important to provide information on available resources for college tuition,” said Jose Valle, President and General Manager for Telemundo 52. “Our commitment is not limited to the airwaves but to also be involved with grass-roots organizations to offer this free event where the public can inform themselves on ways to help pay for their child’s education.”
The event offered educational seminars including Time Warner Cable’s Take Your Family Further: Make the Internet work for you and your family. The Los Angeles Unified School District offered seminars geared towards parents on topics such as: engagement & empowerment, childrens health and homeless education. There was also be information on financial planning for your child’s college education and important information on available scholarships y ways to help pay for the college education of your child.
