Telemundo announced it has partnered with General Mills and its Yoplait Light brand on a multi-platform integration to air on Telemundo’s latest original production, “Alguien Te Mira” beginning tonight at 10pm EST.
“We are thrilled to partner with General Mills and work with them on a unique brand integration featuring the Yoplait Light brand and create awareness for achieving a healthier lifestyle among our audiences,” said Jacqueline Hernández, Chief Operating Officer, Telemundo.
Yoplait Light is integrated into the storyline through the novela’s female character, Eva, who will be linked to the product throughout various scenes of the novela.
“We are delighted to work with Telemundo on our first telenovela integration,” added Laura Eisen, Marketing Manager, Yoplait Light. “Yoplait Light hopes to help Latinas by being their weight loss ally, and even more, it has the great taste that you will love. We are thrilled to see this partnership come to life and look forward to the response from the ‘”Alguien Te Mira” audience.”
The partnership consists of a two-month long initiative incorporating an event, national broadcast, radio and digital extensions. The national sponsorship kicked-off via the local Miami premiere party of “Alguien Te Mira” on September 7th and local Miami radio stations will air promos for the new novela. The digital component to the integration includes a healthy tip section on Telemundo.com’s women’s channel, “Mujer de Hoy,” where users can click through to find tips on healthier eating and advice on achieving a healthier lifestyle overall. In addition, there will be exclusive content provided in the webdrivers and tune in vignettes, and the integration will have exclusive positioning in primetime.
“Alguien Te Mira” stars Danna García and male leads Christian Meier and Rafael Amaya. The novela is an original production from Telemundo Studios Miami, shot entirely in high definition. The executive producer is Aurelio Valcarcel (“¿Dónde Está Elisa?”, “Más Sabe El Diablo”, “El Cuerpo del Deseo”.) The story, which takes place in Chicago, is adapted by Perla Farias (¿Dónde Está Elisa? and Dame Chocolate) and directed by Luis Manso and Leonardo Galaviz.
