Telemundo To Be Honored With 2005 ACE Awards.

Telemundo will be honored at the 2005 ACE Award’s as some of the network’s top talent, and one of its stations were recognized in several categories. The ACE Awards ceremony, presented by the New York Association of Entertainment Reporters (Asociación de Cronistas del Espectáculo) will be held Saturday, April 30th in New York City.

Some of Telemundo’s stars won seven awards for their work in Telemundo originally-produced novelas. Itatí Cantoral, Rebecca Jones and Alejandro Camacho were picked as Best Actress, Best Actress in a Supporting role and Best Actor in a Supporting role, respectively, for their performance in “El Alma Herida”; and “La Mujer en el Espejo’s” lead actress and Colombian beauty, Paola Rey, took an award as Most Beautiful Female Profile in Television.

The Association also recognized the prestigious careers and trajectories of Telemundo’s renowned journalist, María Celeste Arrarás, and telenovela star Jorge Cao (Te Voy a Enseñar a Querer, Pasión de Gavilanes).

Additionally, Telemundo’s Manuel Martínez-Llorián, Vice President and General Manager of Telemundo’s Owned and Operated station in New York City, WNJU-Ch. 47, is receiving ACE’s 2005 “Premio Institucional” (Best Business Award) for the station’s outstanding 40 years of service to the New York community.
