Telemundo begin production of ‘El Señor de los Cielos’.

Telemundo announced the kick-off of production for “El Señor de los Cielos” (The Lord of the Skies) in Mexico, with renowned actor Rafael Amaya (La Reina del Sur, Alguien te Mira) joined by a stellar cast that includes Ximena Herrera, Fernanda Castillo, and Luis Roberto Guzmán as Marco Mejía. For this original production inspired by a true story, Telemundo has recreated the look and feel of the 1990s, with props and fashions from the era. The drama is being taped on location on ranches in Estado de México, airports near Mexico City and haciendas in Morelos. Cutting-edge special effects are being used to recreate shootouts, explosions and airplane stunts, and the actors have undergone physical training for the production’s action and adventure scenes.
