Telemundo Denver recognized by Colorado Broadcasters Association.

“Noticiero Telemundo Denver” was honored with a Best Investigative Report award, for its story on ‘Sale of Identification Cards in Colorado.’ The Colorado Broadcasters Association (CBA) presented the award to Telemundo Denver’s news team during CBA’s annual Gala Awards for Excellence, which took place Saturday, March 10, and which celebrates the State’s best in broadcasting.

‘Sale of Identification Cards in Colorado’ was a joint investigation conducted by Telemundo Denver and 9News, which exposed the invalidity of non-government identification cards sold by many local businesses. Reporter Carlos Rausseo broke the story, which was produced by News Director and Anchor Maria Rozman, alongside Technical Director and Producer Milter Herrera, Video Journalist Jose Guzman, and Meteorologist Javier Castro.

“This award is recognition of the tremendous effort and dedication of the entire ‘Noticiero Telemundo Denver’ news team, and their commitment to serving the community with professionalism,” stated Rozman.

“Being nominated in this category along with the general market stations is itself a great honor. Receiving this award, confirms once again the importance of the work our station is doing within the Denver community, and the responsibility we have of representing Spanish-language broadcasters in an event of such magnitude,” stated Andres Chaparro, station manager.
