Telemundo Deportes FIFA WOMEN’S WORLD CUP 2023 in Australia and New Zealand

Telemundo Deportes, the exclusive Spanish-language home of the FIFA Women’s World Cup™, looks ahead to the 2023 tournament as Australia and New Zealand win bid to host the event.

Following the record-breaking coverage of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019™ in France, the most-watched in Spanish-language media history, Telemundo Deportes will present extensive coverage as the tournament debuts a new, expanded format to feature 32 teams that form eight groups of four.

“Just a year ago our team was delivering a historic presentation of the FIFA Women’s World Cup™ in France and we couldn’t be more thrilled to start our planning for the 2023 tournament as it lands in Australia and New Zealand,” said Ray Warren, president of Telemundo Deportes. “We are committed to continue our efforts to deliver the best of women’s soccer while strengthening our positioning as the ultimate destination for the Biggest, Best, Global sports in Spanish-language.”

The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ will be staged in Australia and New Zealand, following a vote taken by the FIFA Council after beating Colombia’s bid. This will be the first Women’s World Cup to be hosted by the two countries and across two confederations (AFC and OFC).
