Telemundo Dominates Daytime in 2025 as the Most-Watched Spanish-Language Network Weekday Afternoons among Total Viewers

Telemundo closed 2025 as the #1 Spanish-language television network in weekday afternoons (Monday–Friday, 1–5 pm) averaging 548,000 total viewers, according to Nielsen. Year-over-year, the afternoon daypart also surged +22% among adults 18–49, with every program in the block delivering double-digit growth versus 2024.
Offering viewers four hours of live entertainment, news, lifestyle content, and the hottest current topics – hosted by the most beloved personalities in U.S. Spanish-language television – the network continues to solidify its position as the premier destination in weekday afternoons with the following successful lineup:
EN CASA CON TELEMUNDO (1pm/12c): At 1pm, En Casa con Telemundo grew +19% vs. 2024 among adults 18–49, while the 2pm hour increased +27% year-over-year to rank as the #1 Spanish-language program in the hour among adults 18–49. Following these double-digit audience gains, the show is poised for an exciting 2026 with hosts Carlos Adyan, Aleyda Ortíz, Chikybombom, and Gabriel Coronel, featuring live coverage of the premiere of Telemundo’s hit reality La Casa de Los Famosos, along with live hits from Puerto Rico’s Fiestas de la Calle San Sebastián, the upcoming Super Bowl LX festivities, all the excitement of FIFA World Cup 2026™, and more.
LA MESA CALIENTE (3pm/2c): Hosted by Giselle Blondet, Andrea Meza, and Verónica Bastos, La Mesa Caliente grew +20% among adults 18–49 versus 2024 and will build on this strong momentum as it celebrates its fifth anniversary this year with special on-air moments and dedicated coverage highlighting the show’s impact and loyal audience.
AL ROJO VIVO (4pm/3c): Telemundo’s iconic news franchise posted +20% growth among adults 18–49 and 6% growth in total viewers versus 2024, further strengthening the network’s position as the #1 Spanish-language network among total viewers in weekday afternoons. Hosted by Jessica Carrillo and Lourdes Stephen, Al Rojo Vivo is set to deliver coverage marking 100 days to the FIFA World Cup 2026™, alongside impactful stories, exclusive reports, and breaking news from around the world.
In addition to the success of the network’s afternoon performance, Telemundo is also celebrating its mornings led by Hoy Día, as it was the only broadcast network – regardless of language – in 2025 to post year-over-year growth in the morning daypart among total viewers (+16%) and adults 18–49 (+40%).
