Telemundo & Ford partner once again Amores de Luna 3.

Telemundo announced that the Telemundo Group has partnered with Ford Motor Company for a third consecutive year to present the Amores de Luna franchise. In conjunction with the highly anticipated U.S. launch of the Ford Fiesta, the vehicle stars in the latest installment of Amores de Luna, playing a key character in the miniseries as it is organically integrated into the characters’ storylines and everyday lives. Scheduled to begin airing on August 2, 2010, Amores de Luna 3 will air Monday through Friday at 11:30pm ET/10:30pm CT following the late local newscasts on Telemundo’s O&O KVEA-Los Angeles, WNJU-New York, WSCV-Miami, KTMD-Houston and WSNS-Chicago.

Amores de Luna 3 will be produced by Telemundo Studios and utilizes the resources of Telemundo Network, Telemundo Stations and Telemundo Digital. It is a branded TV, online and mobile advertising campaign which takes the form of a miniseries.  Past Ford vehicle integrations include the Ford Flex in Amores de Luna 1 and the Ford Fusion in Amores de Luna 2. The miniseries will kick off with an Amores de Luna 2 30-minute special, set to air on mun2 on July 29 and on Telemundo on August 1. As with the previous installments, Amores de Luna 3 will feature 20 3-minute episodes over a 4-week period, ending August 27, 2010.

The Amores de Luna franchise will be promoted nationally on both Telemundo and mun2, and mun2 will air a customized segment on The Shuffle. Amores de Luna 3 webisodes and content will be accessible nationwide within Telemundo.com. Telemundo.com will designate a webpage to Amores de Luna (amoresdeluna.com) where visitors will find engaging trivia and commenting capabilities, webisodes content and integrated music and theme songs from the miniseries, as well as links to the Ford Fiesta’s readypatumundo.com site. Local Telemundo stations and mun2’s website, holamun2.com, will run ads linking to the Amores de Luna 3 website in addition to featuring editorial content within the site promoting the miniseries novela and webisodes.

A La Mano, Telemundo’s local mobile initiative, will once again promote Amores de Luna content on cell phones and mobile devices. Telemundo Network Movil will also drive users to a custom WAP site through SMS text blasts, a new mobile feature for the Amores de Luna franchise. Telemundo has also added a social media component to the promotion of Amores de Luna 3. Twitter has been embedded into users’ web experience so they do not have to leave the site in order to tweet. Amores de Luna 3 will have its own Facebook page and Twitter account, and the local station WAP sites will have links to these social network accounts. The social network accounts will also link to the readypatumundo.com Ford Fiesta site.
