Telemundo launches ‘ASI SE BAILA’

Telemundo is setting the stage  for its new Sunday-night original reality show, Así Se Baila (That’s How You Dance), an innovative, family-friendly dance competition, set to premiere in September. During each two-hour episode, 10 Hispanic celebrity couples will test not only their dancing skills, but also their relationships, as they vie for the chance to be crowned champions.  Week after week, a panel of celebrity judges, together with the audience vote, will determine which couples advance, until only one remains and is crowned the winner.

“Así Se Baila brings together Latin music, dance and celebrities in a fresh, unique and entertaining format the entire family will enjoy across every screen,” said Ronald Day, President, Entertainment and Content, Telemundo. “Through the show’s extensive multiplatform coverage, audiences will be able to follow their favorite celebrity couples and experience up close and personal the excitement and challenges of their journey to become dancing stars.”

Así Se Baila will see 10 celebrities take on the dance floor with a dance partner of their choice, including spouses, partners, siblings, best friends and children. Featuring unique Latin music genres and exciting choreographies, each pair will take center stage every Sunday night in a dance challenge unlike any other, striving to remain in the competition for another round. Viewers will be able to witness every week all the emotion and excitement as the couples overcome challenges, learn their routines, and prepare to be the best dancers on the floor. Each Sunday night, a panel of celebrity judges will evaluate their performances and decide who moves on, but the audience vote will ultimately determine which winning pair will get to declare: Así Se Baila! (That’s How You Dance!).

Shot entirely in a specially designed state-of-the-art studio at Telemundo Center in Miami, Así Se Baila is an original Telemundo production under the executive production of Francisco “Cisco” Suarez, Executive Vice President of Primetime Non-Scripted Programming for Telemundo, and Macarena Moreno as executive producer.
