Telemundo launches ‘El Camino Fácil’ online.

Telemundo Communications Group announced the launch of “El Camino Fácil,” a new broadband series to air online at http://www.yahootelemundo.com/mujerdehoy> , in support of the network’s national Mujer de Hoy…Hazte Valer! campaign which launched this past May.

“El Camino Fácil is a riveting real-life online series that confronts the darker life issues that Hispanic women in the U.S. are facing but that society and culture are too shy to address,” said Alfredo Richard, Senior Vice President, Communications and Talent Development. “Telemundo’s Mujer de Hoy…Hazte Valer! campaign aims to educate and inform our community through such compelling and original content and programs that will raise better awareness for prevention and offer insight and assistance for a successful road to recovery to those who need it.”

In the premiere webisode, viewers are introduced to Idania, a woman who tells her personal story of drug and alcohol addiction and her long and difficult journey to redemption. The second webisode tells the story of a young woman currently entrapped in the porn industry working as a porn actress. Both webisodes feature substance abuse specialists and other relevant experts to offer insight into how addiction and compulsive behavior can lead to the destruction of lives and ways to get help. The last installment in the series features other women who are battling personal crises, and experts and therapists offer insight into how addiction and compulsive behavior can lead to the destruction of lives and ways to seek help.

As part of its mission to inform, empower, inspire and entertain U.S. Hispanics, Telemundo launched Mujer de Hoy…Hazte Valer!, a multiplatform pro-social campaign focused on critical issues that affect young Latinas. In partnership with MANA, Telemundo aims to host a conversation and provide the information they need to make educated decisions, potentially saving the lives of many young Latinas who otherwise don’t have the access to reliable information or the opportunity to talk about these issues.
