Telemundo Launches ‘Nuevo Mundo – Una Nacion Unida’.

Telemundo Network announced it launched a new primetime news and information program, “Nuevo Mundo: Una Nación Unida” (A New World: A Nation United) on September 17 at 7:00PM (ET/PT). The one-hour daily broadcast will provide viewers with up-to-the-minute news on a nation in crisis, and will also be aired throughout Latin America on Telemundo International.

“Following the crisis that began last Tuesday, Telemundo has provided our viewers with 133 hours of continuous coverage,” explains Joe Peyronnin, Executive Vice President of News and Information. “As a further commitment to our audience, we have created a weekday primetime program which will provide more in-depth and extensive coverage of this great tragedy.”

Co-anchored by veteran journalists Pedro Sevcec of “Noticiero Telemundo,” and Ana Patricia Candiani of “Ocurrió Así,” the format of “Nuevo Mundo: Una Nación Unida” will feature a combination of live interviews with government and foreign leaders throughout the world, as well as specialists in numerous areas affected by the crisis, and also highlight in-depth reports from Noticiero Telemundo’s bureaus throughout the world, inclusive of personal accounts of both bravery and tragedy.
