Telemundo Media & Warner Music Latina launch Latin musical talent.

Telemundo Media and Warner Music Latina have announced a partnership through which the two entertainment companies will collaborate on the signing and development of new and up-and-coming Latin musical talent.

The first artist to be signed under the agreement is novela sensation Gabriel Coronel, Telemundo’s newest heartthrob, who is best known for his portrayal of Mauricio Blanco on Relaciones Peligrosas. The 25-year-old, who studied at the Vicente Emilio Sojo Conservatory of Music in Venezuela, also recorded the theme song for the popular series that launched his television career.

As part of the partnership, Warner Music Latina will work with Telemundo to sign, market and promote Latin music stars. Warner Music Latina will oversee all musical aspects, and Telemundo will run multi-platform promotional campaigns on its networks, Telemundo and mun2, as well as its local and digital properties.

“This innovative collaboration with Warner Music Latina underscores our commitment to take Telemundo beyond linear television and serve as the home for the most relevant and popular Hispanic stars and content in the U.S.,” said Emilio Romano, President, Telemundo Media. “Warner Music is the perfect partner to nurture our talent and develop a vibrant, joint platform that will engage our loyal and passionate fans. Deepening the connection with our audience through the world of music is a natural evolution for our brand, which is synonymous with the best and brightest.”

“This is a powerful partnership which will provide new opportunities for multi-talented artists, create unique fan experiences and expand the creative and commercial possibilities for both companies,” said Inigo Zabala, President, Warner Music Latin America. “We are also very excited to be working with Gabriel Coronel, an impressive talent with huge potential and we are determined to help him achieve maximum success.”

“I am honored to be the first artist to sign with Telemundo Media and Warner Music Latina for this extraordinary and bold endeavor,” said Gabriel Coronel. “Anyone who knows me understands what music has meant to me and how it continues to influence my career. Having the support of these two highly respected companies will be another huge step in my ability to achieve my musical aspirations.”
