Telemundo & mun2 partner for ‘Descarga’.

Telemundo, mun2 and CityWalk at Universal Studios Hollywood, The Entertainment Capital of L.A., have partnered for a free summer concert series “Descarga En CityWalk con Telemundo y mun2 (Jam On CityWalk with Telemundo and mun2).”
Kicked off on Sunday, July 1st, the Latino-geared sister networks and studio theme park will bring live musical performances to the stage in the heart of CityWalk, Universal Studios Hollywood, that will feature the best in Latin sounds from cumbia and pop to Mexican regional, with a variety of bands that authentically reflect the eclectic tastes of Southern California. Hosted by Telemundo and mun2 on-air talent, “Descarga” will take place every Sunday evening from 5:30 to 8 PM over the summer through August 26th and will feature multiple musical performances along with additional free family-friendly entertainment including contests and giveaways.

Hosted by Telemundo’s Erika Garza (Descontrol) and mun2’s Crash (The mun2 Shift, The Chicas Project) and Yasmin Deliz (Vivo, The Chicas Project), “Descarga” will begin on July 1st with the energetic bands Upground and Sello Colombiano. The two groups make a contagious combination with Upground offering a fresh blend of Latin reggae, ska, cumbia and funk and Sello Colombiano representing a unique fusion of tropical rhythms from Colombia and Mexico.
The “Descarga” summer music lineup will feature a slew of additional musical guests—hailing from Southern California and beyond—that represent a wide range of music genres popular with Latino audiences. Telemundo and mun2 will keep the stage fresh with burgeoning talent like multi-platinum artist Yahir, rock balladeer Crisantes, the reggaeton super group Casa de Leones, and up-and-coming popstress Italia Renata. While additional performances by power pop rockers Pastilla, Monte Negro and the popular cover group RadioStarr will represent the unyielding bilingual sound of the L.A. rock scene, Mexican regional and cumbia fans will be treated to acts that include Los Hermanos Macias, Grupo Musical Lezama, Fenomeno Norteño and La Quimika con “La Baby.”
